Hon. Mr. W. Chatham C.M.G.

Dear Sir,

I shall be obliged if you will kindly inform me what is

the actual amount which you intend to pay me for the annual settlement. At an interview I had with yout Ir. Fisher this

morning, he told me that the sum of about $4,050. is due. I

have calculated that 12,000 will settle all my outstanding

bills for the annual payments and hope you will be kind enough to grant me this sum. I am unable to put back my creditors

for this important festival settlement and rely on you to

assist me in this pressing matter.

Thanking you in advance

r. Fisher
